The catamaran Raven is a 38-foot yacht (21 feet wide)
built in France with a huge comfortable deck. Raven was
designed in 1995 and built by Fountaine-Pajot in 1996.
She is the only boat we know of that sports a granite table.
She sleeps eight in four queen size berths and offers two
heads complete with showers. Raven carries 538 sq ft of
main sail, 377 sq ft of head sail. Raven draws 37 inches
and weighs 6½ tons.
Our Trip
During the first 24 hour Raven covered 177 miles! Aboard you will hear about Raven's 1550 mile trip from Le Marin, Martinique to Naples, Florida. Two nights at port in Tortola then off to San Juan. Then northwest past the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Cuba (Cuba lasts forever when you are cruising at 3 knots). Finally, turning north and made land at Boot Key in Marathon. The next day it was off to Key West for "steak smothered in pork chops" at Pepe's. Leaving Key West at sun set, Raven in Naples at dawn. 1,550 miles in 15 days. Have Nancy tell the real story!
